A rural Mexico, where 4.7 million people living in rural municipalities with high and very high marginalization, are free from poverty and hunger. By 2030, Population Services International will identify, train and deploy a corps of 500 young people from across the globe who will co-design adolescent health programs side-by-side with technical experts. These Youth Fellows will be embedded in Adolescent Youth Sexual Reproductive Health program teams as researchers, analysts, advocates and community-level champions, and supported to develop the confidence and skills needed to successfully influence and deliver public health programming... It is our belief that solutions for girls should always include girls. For me with me is a 3 year initiative aimed at helping young girls aged 10 to 17 understand their right and use their voices to change society. Our strategy centers around building the capacities of girls to take active part in solving challenges, creating a conducive environment that supports their development and providing supportive platforms for them to use their power. Uganda For Her Initiative commits to training at least 1000 girls every year through our age appropriate educational workshops, school and community outreaches, sensitizing them about sexual reproductive health, empowering and encouraging them to remain in school with confidence. We commit to reaching out to those girls in at least 5 hard to reach areas per year, where it"s hard to be a girl and cannot access Sexual Reproductive Health knowledge while distributing pads. ... Australia is assisting Indo-Pacific countries to accelerate progress towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by strengthening health systems and building the financial and programmatic sustainability of health programs. We will increase our support to the ‘Advance UHC’ initiative, a partnership with the World Bank, to support sustainable domestic financing for health services that also support sexual reproductive health and rights.
(6) Using national budget processes, including gender budgeting and auditing, increasing domestic financing and exploring new, participatory and innovative financing instruments and structures to ensure full, effective and accelerated implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action.
Cervical cancer, caused by a sexually transmitted infection, is one of the leading causes of death of women in Pacific island countries and is preventable. By 2022, Australia will support five Pacific countries to establish national cervical cancer policies.
