Commitment title:

FULFILLING THE PROMISE: EMPOWERMENT THROUGH SEXUAL HEALTH AWARENESS

Commitment description:

Uganda For Her Initiative commits to training at least 1000 girls every year through our age appropriate educational workshops, school and community outreaches, sensitizing them about sexual reproductive health, empowering and encouraging them to remain in school with confidence.

We commit to reaching out to those girls in at least 5 hard to reach areas per year, where it"s hard to be a girl and cannot access Sexual Reproductive Health knowledge while distributing pads.

We commit to continuously make and distribute at least 1000 reusable pads every year to underprivileged girls in Uganda, while training them on how to make their own from local materials around them.

We commit to engaging with and getting more partners aboard to work with us as we continuously deliver the mission and vision of Uganda For her Initiative; specifically financial means of accelerating the achievement of the ICPD and Agenda 2030.

Uganda For Her Initiative believes in providing young women and girls with the educational opportunity to rise above their challenges. We advocate for the development of economic independence and self-confidence to help women take charge of their bodies and lives. We envision a world where girls can grow up to be socially and economically empowered women, who will be leaders and peer mentors within their communities.

We commit to Creating a safe space to talk about awkward or uncomfortable topic allowing the girls to ask sensitive questions and for our peer educator to dispel any commonly held myths and provide factual information about menstruation, family planning, early marriages, and generally sexual reproductive health within their comfort zones. This will be done through our continuous training workshops and follow up seminars in the different areas of our current operation.

Uganda For Her Initiative is ready to provide the much needed empowerment every year, through sexual health awareness to the young girls, to achieve Agenda 2030.
