Fighting against teenage pregnancies, early marriages and sex harrasment among young girls.

Commitment description:

Young youth shall be mobilized in small groups and meetings while discussing their issues affecting them. Parents, teachers, religious leaders will also be engaged in mobilizing and providing support to the issues raised by adolescents. Peer education clubs shall be formed for the adolescents to share ASRH information within their groups. Advocacy meetings shall also be conducted targeting policy amendments among the local government departments.

Commitment description:

I will participate in the ICPD to clarify what efforts have been made in order for young women and girls to enjoy SRHR. I will join various program and build cooperation with related stakeholders. I will utilize my experience to contribute to advocacy work and youth engagement on SRHR in Japan. Also we will ask Japanese government to contribute to achieving SDG3 and 5.

Committing to strive for ending child marriage in Bangladesh by 2030 but not by 2041

Commitment description:

Government is committed to reduce to child marriage for girls to be at least 18 years as legal age at marriage but there are gaps between National Action Plan (NAP) on child marriage to eliminate by 2041 whereas SDG target 5.3 has been set for 2030. Thus we are committing to advocate for integration and coordination among polices and plans along with compulsory secondary education for girls to eliminate child marriage in Bangladesh by 2030.
