Contribute to advocacy work and youth engagement on SRHR
Commitment description:I will participate in the ICPD to clarify what efforts have been made in order for young women and girls to enjoy SRHR. I will join various program and build cooperation with related stakeholders. I will utilize my experience to contribute to advocacy work and youth engagement on SRHR in Japan. Also we will ask Japanese government to contribute to achieving SDG3 and 5.
Mode of engagement:
- Change or creation of legislationThrough advocacy with youth, we challenge gender inequality in Japan and advocate Japanese government to change and creation of legislation.
Achieve universal access to sexual and reproductive health as a part of universal health coverage (UHC)(4) Access for all adolescents and youth, especially girls, to comprehensive and age-responsive information, education and adolescent-friendly comprehensive, quality and timely services to be able to make free and informed decisions and choices about their sexuality and reproductive lives, to adequately protect themselves from unintended pregnancies, all forms of sexual and gender-based violence and harmful practices, sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS, to facilitate a safe transition into adulthood.
