Dr Bermejo took up his position as the Director General of IPPF in March 2018. He has more than 20 years’ experience as a senior executive in global federations, working across adolescent health, sexual and reproductive health and rights, HIV and AIDS, humanitarian issues and health policy. Previously he worked for Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), International HIV/AIDS Alliance and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). Dr Bermejo is a Spanish national and qualified as a medical doctor.
