Amadou Aissata Issa Maiga
Minister of Population Government of NigerDr. Maiga is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist specialist in international public health, graduate of the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. She has more than two decades of professional experience focused in particular on identifying the health needs of women and children. She has held several positions of responsibility in the field of health overseeing, among other things, planning, analysis of health indicators and supervision of community participation. She has previously directed the National Center for Reproductive Health (CNSR).
She has also taught health sciences at Sainte Edie School of Health in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
She was Minister of the Promotion of the Woman and the Protection of the Child, from April 7, 2016 to October 19, 2017 then Minister of the Public Service and Administrative Reform from October 20, 2017 to October 29, 2017, before being appointed to her current position as Minister of Population.
