Reiko Hayashi
Director Department of International Research and Cooperation, National Institute of Population and Social Security ResearchDr. Reiko Hayashi obtained Ph.D in Policy Studies, National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Japan, Bachelor and Master of Health Sciences, Bachelor of Technology (Architecture) from The University of Tokyo and DESS of Université de Paris I. Prior to joining the IPSS with present position in 2012, her career includes Technical Advisor to the Minister of Health, Republic of Senegal (JICA expert) and Project Assistant Professor of Center for Sustainable Urban Regeneration, the University of Tokyo. Her research topics include health and long-term care workforce, global ageing, measurement of health, morbidity and mortality, and issues on population and development. She is the member of ICF and ICD committees of Social Security Council Statistical Working Group of Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan, the Japanese Delegation of United Nations Commission on Population and Development, and the Board of Population Association of Japan.
