Seynabou Sakho is the Director of the World Bank for Central America (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama). In his position, he oversees the support programs and operations of technical cooperation, financing and studies of these six nations.
Sakho, originally from Senegal, joined the World Bank in 2004. Since then she has held several positions, such as an economist for Brazil, Jamaica and Bolivia, economic advisor in the Unit of Operational Policies and Services for Countries and advises in the office from the Managing Director. His last responsibility was as Manager of Macroeconomics and Fiscal Management for East and Central Africa. She has a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. In addition, she is the author and / or co-author of several publications on economic growth, private sector development and the effect of financial restrictions on small and medium-sized businesses.
