Petar Mladenov is a member of the International Programme Committee for Nairobi Summit. He is a youth activist who has dedicated 12 years in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights, access to Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) and meaningful youth participation. Petar has been highly recognized for his efforts on raising the voice of young people by his active participation at various international forums. He served as UN Youth Delegate and coordinated an international youth network in 52 countries worldwide called Y-PEER. He was an integral part of the negotiations around the 2030 Development Agenda and the ICPD review process. He was chairing the Youth Working Group of the Council of the European Union in 2018 where he managed to facilitate the adoption of two crucial political documents linked with the demographic dividend and the youth, peace and security issues at EU level. He was announced as one of the Top Outstanding Young Persons of the Year by the Junior Chamber International (JCI).
