Esperanza is the head of the Advocacy team at MEXFAM, IPPF Member Association of Mexico, working on sexual and reproductive health and rights. Her responsibilities include the promotion of initiatives, policies and budget allocation on comprehensive sexual education and health, gender violence and abortion at national and subnational levels. Delgado is involved in global, and regional networks targeted to advance commitments on the rights of women and girls, 2030 Agenda, ICPD and Beijing Agendas. She studied Educational Psychology and has a master’s degree on Business and Public Administration. With more than 30 years of professional experience, Delgado has worked in governmental, academic, international, and civil society entities.
