My name is Doreen Monica Magotsi. I am a grassroots woman.

I was born and brought up in the rural part of Western Kenya. I grew up facing and knowing the harsh life challenges that are faced by the rural woman--that is who I am.

I am a woman who fights for the rights of women, especially social and economic justice. I work so hard to ensure that women around me understand and get to know about their role in the society.

I ensure that women get to uplift their lives economically from very humble beginnings, especially agriculture.

My role in my day to day activities in the Community is to make women know that they are the backbone of their families and the society as a whole.

I work and walk with grassroots women.
