Suhaila Aboud
Clinical Management of Rape SpecialistSuhaila is a Clinical Management of Rape (CMR) Specialist who has more than a decade of experience (both in humanitarian and development context) working as a frontline Health Care Provider (HCP) caring for survivors of sexual violence (SV). In her current role, she supports in planning, designing, implementing and evaluating CMR interventions in emergency settings.
Suhaila has multiregional (ESARO, WCARO, APRO, ASRO) experience in promoting institutional capacity development on CMR, providing technical support on GBV and SRH in emergency and implementation of health care services in emergency with the ultimate aim to strengthen health systems. She has facilitated trainings to over 4500 multi country personnel from Bangladesh, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Sri-Lanka, Jordan, Cameroon, Kenya, Uganda, and Mali.
Suhaila is currently pursuing her Master of Arts, in Gender and Development Studies at Kenyatta University, Has a Bachelor of Psychology in Counselling, from University of Nairobi and a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from Kenya Medical Training College.
