Lale Say
Coordinator Adolescents and Vulnerable Populations Department of Reproductive Health and Research of the World Health OrganizationDr Lale Say has specialist training in reproductive health epidemiology and research from Edinburgh University and a medical degree from University of Istanbul. She works at the Department of Reproductive Health and Research of the World Health Organization, as the coordinator of the team on Adolescents and vulnerable populations; including adolescent sexual and reproductive health, violence against women, harmful practices, humanitarian situations, digital health and innovations, and monitoring and evaluation. Dr Say has worked at the World Health Organization, since 2002, initially managing the monitoring and evaluation activities and global monitoring of sexual and reproductive health indicators, and later, as the coordinator of research capacity and policy and programme strengthening. Before joining WHO, Dr Say has worked at the Ministry of Health in Türkiye in managing and implementing programmes, and at the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department of the University of Istanbul Medical School with clinical, research and teaching responsibilities. Dr Say has published substantially in various areas of sexual and reproductive health.
