Dr Anne Kihara is the President of the African Federation of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (AFOG), the Immediate Past President of the Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society a position held for four years, and a member of the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO).

Additionally, Anne is a Senior Lecturer, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology University of Nairobi and Consultant Gynaecologist Kenyatta National Hospital in Kenya. Areas of interest include provision of leadership and advocacy in SRHR; menstrual hygiene and management for adolescent girls and women throughout Africa and conducting of implementation science in Women’s health and rights.
