Frances Kissling
President The Center for Health Ethics and Social PolicyFrances Kissling has been a leading advocate and scholar working at the intersection of gender, reproductive health, religion and ethics. She is a founder of the National Abortion Federation and the Global Fund for Women and was President of Catholics for Choice for twenty-five years. A Radcliffe
Fellow at Harvard University and visiting fellow at the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania, she teaches Reproductive Health Ethics at UPenn and UNAM, Mexico. Kissling has published over 250 articles and chapters in books, spoken before a dozen parliaments, and consulted widely on ethics and reproductive health for IPPF_WHR, PSI, GIRE, CDD-Mexico among others.
Kissling was a lead consultant on the program for the first four Women Deliver Conferences. She has been dubbed the philosopher of the prochoice movement by Ellen Goodman of the Boston Globe. She currently serves as the President of The Center for Health Ethics and Social Policy.
