Magaly Marques is a Brazilian-American feminist and gender expert with extensive experience in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Ms. Marques completed her graduate studies in Philosophy at the Catholic University of São Paulo in Brazil, and has served in technical and leadership roles in SRHR organizations and networks in Latin America and the United States. Prior to joining the global secretariat of MenEngage Alliance, as Global SRHR Coordinator, she served in the North American MenEngage Network (NAMEN) Steering Committee, and on Promundo’s Board of Director for six years. Ms. Marques was VP of Community Education at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles; Executive Director of the Pacific Institute for Women’s Health; SRHR Brazil Director for the John D and Catherine T MacArthur Foundation; and Representative in Bolivia for International Planned Parenthood Federation (WHR); Ms. Marques has published articles in sexual and reproductive rights journals and has served in various advisory groups.
