Dr. Willibald Zeck has joined UNICEF New York Headquarters in 2017 as the Head of the Maternal, Newborn and Adolescent Health (MNAH) Unit. Dr. Zeck, an Austrian national, is an Obstetrician & Gynecologist with clinical, research and public health work experience in East Africa, Central Asia, Middle East, South & South East Asia, Australia and Europe. He has lead various clinical and field research projects especially in the African and Asian context and has worked for various academic institutions as well as for WHO before joining the UNICEF Regional Office of South Asia as the Regional Maternal and Newborn Health Specialist in 2010. His publication list encompasses more than 100 MNAH related publications. Prior to joining UNICEF Headquarters in New York, Dr Zeck was the Chief of Health and Nutrition in the UNICEF Philippines Country Office.
