He works at the Faith to Action Network as the International Advocacy Officer. He is also well versed in mapping powers and perceptions, analyzing and building capacity of individuals as well as institutions for effective advocacy.
Prior to actively engaging in advocacy, Vitalis served as an influential religious leader in a rural evangelical setting in Kenya. His main work was to provide relief for persons living with HIV, resettlement for survivors of sexual gender-based violence and harmful practices, as well as educating community members on reproductive health.
When he is not engaging with policy makers, Vitalis spends time on his farm tending to cows and goats, playing a harmonica and trying very hard not to step on his daughters’ toes when dancing with them.
Vitalis believes that Faith Organizations have distinctive characteristics that gives them formidable advantages to promote human dignity, be it at community, national, regional or international levels. He is passionate about exploring these strengths and leveraging the potential of religion for prosperous communities.
