Dorothy Mawusi Adobea is a Ghanaian advocate who lives in Belgium. She was able to do an internship at Sensoa, the Flemish expertise center for sexual health and became a board member of the organization afterwards. In 2017 she was selected as one of the Changemaker by the ngo UCOS and travelled to Uganda where she exchanged experiences with professionals and activists working on SRHR. She came back with a broader understanding about SRHR and together with 11 other young people, they raised awareness on the topics of menstruation and LGBTI+ rights. Afterwards she started working as an HIV prevention worker at the Institute of Tropical of Medicine. There she worked with members of the sub-saharan African community to sensitise and inform the sub-Saharan African communities about sexual health and HIV. Recently she started working as a parliamentary assistant in the Belgian Parliament whilst still leading workshops about gender, culture and intersectionality for the LGBT+ organisation RainbowHouse.
