Martha Karua is an accomplished lawyer and politician from Kenya with experience in government as Minister for Water and Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs. She has been an elected member of parliament for twenty consecutive years, with extensive experience in governance, gender and human rights. Martha unsuccessfully ran for president of Kenya in 2013, and for governor of Kirinyaga County in 2017. She is an outstanding leader in the women's movement, in politics and a renowned advocate for social justice. Martha is the party leader for Narc Kenya Party since 2011, and continues to be active in politics, governance, and human rights. She is a mother of two, a granny and an unapologetic feminist.
