Rhoda Robinson is the cofounder of HACEY Health Initiative and serves as the Executive Director and Director for Gender and Development Programs. She is responsible for developing and implementing programs of the organization that empower women and girls and advocates for the inclusion of women and young people in development policies and action. Ms Robinson is the coordinator of the ‘Hands Up For HER’ Initiative, a program that promotes the health, empowerment, and rights of the girl child in Africa. The program seeks to improve access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services and information, promote the education and empowerment of girls, and protect their rights. She currently leads the SRH and GBV programs of HACEY and is the coordinator of the Salvus project aimed at supporting survivors of sexual violence.

With over 11 years’ experience in the development sector, Rhoda has served as a contributing member of the United Kingdom Department For International Development (UK DFID) Expert Advisory group on Women and Girls and worked on promoting the recognition and inclusion of the distinct needs and gendered experiences of women and young people in national policies. She is an experienced facilitator on leveraging partnerships and technology in amplifying development impact. Rhoda is a skilled graphics illustrator and Global Change leader. Rhoda is an alumni of the Centre for strategic and international studies AILA fellowship program and holds a Master’s degree in Gender and Development from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, UK.
