Martin Karadzhov
Board member and Chair of the first Youth Steering Committee at ILGA WorldMartin Karadzhov (he/him) is a queer intersectional feminist from Bulgaria. He is a Board member and Chair of the first Youth Steering Committee at ILGA World, the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association. He has over 10 years of experience in the fields of sexual and reproductive health and rights, HIV and LGBTI issues, working with diverse youth at local, national and international levels.
Currently, he supports more than 110 LGBTI organizations to become more sustainable, leads an LGBTI youth service and trains health professionals on diversity and inclusion. Martin is actively involved with international youth advocacy across fields and a member of several youth networks such as YouAct, the European Youth Network on Sexual and Reproductive Rights. He took part in the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe regional ICPD+25 consultation and presented a speech on LGBTI youth issues at the Nairobi Summit in 2019.
Martin is a passionate public speaker and a strong advocate for working across movements to address systemic inequalities. He supports the development of new youth partnerships and platforms as he believes that civil society infrastructure is key for building stronger communities.
