Jordan commits to continuing to work to reduce sexual and gender-based violence by implementing legislation to protect against violence and reduce child marriage; implement strategies, programs, social, psychological and health services; and implementing the National Plan to reduce child marriage; the National Plan for the operationalization of Security Council Resolution 1325, which contained a full strategic objective of the effective role of women in facing violence and extremism, and... (7) Increasing international financing for the full, effective and accelerated implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action, to complement and catalyze domestic financing, in particular of sexual and reproductive health programmes, and other supportive measures and interventions that promote gender equality and girls’ and women’s empowerment.
Jordan is committed to implementing the provisions of the Disability Rights Act 2017 and the Social Protection Strategy 2019-2025, which respond to the needs of vulnerable groups of persons with disabilities, older persons and the poor to promote the right to social justice at the level of decent work, services and social assistance.
(9) Building peaceful, just and inclusive societies, where no one is left behind, where all, irrespective of race, colour, religion, sex, age, disability, language, ethnic origin, sexual orientation and gender identity or expression, feel valued and are able to shape their own destiny and contribute to the prosperity of their societies.
Jordan continues to strengthen national statistical systems, build national capacity, provide national and local (subnational) data and gender-sensitive data, strengthen institutional mechanisms through the implementation of the National Statistical Strategy 2018-2022 and strengthening monitoring and evaluation systems for national programs and plans, including the Sustainable Development Goals’ indicators and the issuance of periodic national reports on progress.
(10) Providing quality, timely and disaggregated data, that ensures privacy of citizens and is also inclusive of younger adolescents, investing in digital health innovations, including in big data systems, and improvement of data systems to inform policies aimed at achieving sustainable development.
