Commitment description:To meet the needs of local communities, Jordan will continue to support the implementation of the decentralization program by enabling local councils and governorates’ councils to implement programs and projects based on the needs of their communities. Additionally, to monitor the financial allocations that meets communities’ needs and priorities and apply results-based management it will undertake reforms to strengthen partnerships with the private sector; strengthen the coordination with all partners at all levels; target vulnerable groups; reduce inequalities in the quality of health care provided and its access in order to achieve inclusiveness and justice, especially in rural areas, and ensure gender-youth, and children responsive budgets.
Mobilize the required financing to finish the ICPD Programme of Action and sustain the gains already made(6) Using national budget processes, including gender budgeting and auditing, increasing domestic financing and exploring new, participatory and innovative financing instruments and structures to ensure full, effective and accelerated implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action.
