training helth care workers on patients' rights related with reproductive and sexual health
Commitment description:Ministry of Health employees, lawyers registered in the bar associations of various provinces, students of law faculties, students studying in health-related professions (400 people in a year). Priority will be given to employees, lawyers and students working in provinces that do not have access to patient rights training. These trainings will be based on rights in sexual and reproductive health (eg right to access to services, right of access to HIV services, LGBT / I individuals, asylum seekers).
8 or 16 hours of interactive training modules and materials will be prepared (based on international documents and internal legislation). 3 different modules will be formed according to the target audience to be trained. The training team will then be established (consisting of lawyers, communicators, physicians and nurses) and will be subjected to instructor training. This team will provide trainings.
This training will enable employees to take a more active role in the prevention of rights violations in sexual and reproductive health. Moreover, it will ensure that other employees are informed. This will strengthen the capacity of health facilities to provide services in line with human rights. Attorneys who have received this training will be able to defend more effectively in the judiciary and other application mechanisms. In addition, lawyers will provide training in their bar associations on sexual and reproductive health rights. With the education of the students, lawyers and health professionals who are more sensitive to sexual and reproductive health will be trained.
In this context, both lawyers, health workers and students in these fields will be able to advocate and transfer their knowledge about rights in sexual and reproductive health.
The website will be kept up-to-date and information about the training subjects will be kept up-to-date and those who are trained will be supported with this information.
