Full implementation of ICPD Programme of Action in Serbia

The Government of the Republic of Serbia remains committed to implementation of ICPD PoA which is crucial for achieving the 2030 Agenda. Current population trends in Serbia characterized with decreasing the number of people, low birth rate, ageing, and outmigrations, emphasize necessity to invest in people, in human capital, especially people’s health, education, gender equality and innovative potential, to improve the quality of life, reduce inequalities and create opportunities to increase prosperity for all. Strategic documents of the Republic of Serbia in the field of health, particularly reproductive health, gender equality, young people, population policies and social inclusion are fully aligned with the ICPD PoA objectives and values and Government of the Republic of Serbia remains committed to their full and active implementation.
