We won´t resign to any right: for a feminist movement actively vigilant

The ICPD agenda and in particular the Montevideo Consensus, requires, for its full implementation -and to meet the goal of leaving no one behind- the strengthening of the democratic systems. It implies a full recognition of women´s citizenship, the respect of the division of powers and of those mechanisms that enable social protest as well as the defense of gender equality as a good of humanity.

For all that, the “Articulación Feminista Marcosur”, a stream for political action and thinking, is committed to watch the compliance of our governments with this agenda. We are committed to make all them accountable for their actions or omissions with regard to the sexual and reproductive health and rights for all women, adolescents and girls. In particular we will fight until abortion is completely decriminalized and to strengthen the needed tools and accountability mechanisms that we have developed as civil society with that particular purpose.

  As a feminist movement organization, we work in the fight for policies based in human rights frameworks and standards and its implementation and for that we engage developing accountability tools and media campaigns.
