Innovative and inclusive solutions for an accelerated reduction of maternal and new-born mortality
Commitment description:Contribute to the achievement of one of the 3 UNFPA transformative results “End Preventable Maternal Death” , framed by the SDG 3 “Ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all at all ages”, specifically by 2030 (SDG3, target 1-1). The program aims at contributing to accelerate achievement of two specific objectives of the National Program of Health Development of the following countries;
- Republic of Congo
- Democratic Republic of Congo
- Benin
- Madagascar
- Countries to be defined in LATAM
- Countries to be defined in APAC
Our initiative will also indirectly contribute to the SDG 1 (poverty reduction), SDG 5 (Gender equality), SDG 6 (access to water and sanitation), SDG 7 (affordable and clean energy), SDG 10 (reduced inequalities) as well as SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
Mode of engagement:
- Programmatic actionPromoting the cooperation and financing model between the Ministry of Health and Population, UNFPA and Philips that we have developed in the Republic of Congo, to other countries in the world.
(1) Intensify our efforts for the full, effective and accelerated implementation and funding of the ICPD Programme of Action, Key Actions for the Further Implementation of the Programme of Action of the ICPD, the outcomes of its reviews, and Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.
