Commitment title:
The GoG commits to strive to eliminate gender based violence, child/forced marriage and other harmful practices against women and girls by 2030.
Commitment description:The government will implement Legislative, Policy and Programmatic commitments, as described above, including: by 2025, fully integrate & implement education on gender equality & reproductive health in the formal education system; implement Communication for Behavior Impact Strategy to trigger social norm change related to child/forced marriage and son preference, ensure access of women and youth with disabilities to DV/VAW services.

- Change or creation of legislationBy 2025, fully align national legislation and policies to the provisions of the Istanbul Convention;
- Policy and guidanceBy 2021, ensure adoption of the next periodic costed 3-year National Action Plans addressing elimination gender-based violence and harmful practices against women and girls
- Programmatic actionBy 2025 ensure adequate capacities of low enforcement & health systems, and social services for provision of protection & assistance to victims of VAW;
