Demographic Dividend monitoring in Africa
Commitment description:In partnership with UNFPA and the UNECA, the CREG commits to putting its expertise at the benefit of countries to help them to implement the entire ICPD conclusions and the AU's DD roadmap. This is to ensure a proper harnessing of demographic potential in African countries.
This commitment will be through training, capacity building, policy dialogue and creating a pool of expertise in the countries in order to provide pieces of evidence on DD monitoring. For instance, it is a question of the establishment of National DD observatories which are already ongoing in the West and Central Africa. The CREG commits, by 2025, to assist in setting up national DD observatories in all the West and Central Africa and beyond.

(10) Providing quality, timely and disaggregated data, that ensures privacy of citizens and is also inclusive of younger adolescents, investing in digital health innovations, including in big data systems, and improvement of data systems to inform policies aimed at achieving sustainable development.
