Advocacy for pro Montevideo and ICPD legislative actions
Commitment description:The commitments embodied in the ICPD population and development agenda and in the Montevideo Consensus, include legal reforms, processes of modification to laws or even public budgets - which are discussed in the congress. Many times legislators do not have these issues within their priorities or ignore them. Our commitment is to inform them and monitor their performance. We will work to ensure that Mexican parliamentarians know the agenda, to open processes of dialogue and discussion where they talk about the necessary actions to boost it, comply with it and mobilize public resources to implement policies and programs necessary.
Our commitment is that the ICPD, the Montevideo consensus and the Puebla commitments be promoted within the legislative branch so that they can materialize,
