Strengthening the work of youth-led peacebuilding organisations in the Asia region
Commitment description:UNOY, in collaboration with SIDA and UNFPA Asia Pacific regional office, is organising a 6 months (July-Dec 2019) Organisational Development Asia Program (online and in-person training, networking and advocacy mission) to build the capacity of 30 youth from 12 youth-led peacebuilding organisations in the region. The objective is to equip youth-led peacebuilding organisations in the Asia region with the tools and competencies they need to design and lead impactful peacebuilding interventions both on their own and as a part of a regional collaborative community.
Modes of engagement:
- Budgetary and financialUNOY is contributing approx 25% budget of 6 months (July-Dec 2019) Organisational Development Asia Program (online and in-person training, networking and advocacy mission), in partnership with SIDA and UNFPA Asia Pacific regional office.
Value: 7000 USD
- Policy and guidanceUNOY, along with 16 youth from 9 peacebuilding organisations from 6 South Asia countries will meet the SAARC Secretariate and its Education, Security & Culture and Social Affairs divisions to advance Youth Peace & Security agenda in the region.
