Ethiopia Committed to Accelerate Implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action
Commitment description:Ethiopia is of the conviction that the ICPD 25 Global Summit will further galvanize commitments and partnerships to realize the promises of the ICPD Programme of Action recognizing that its full implementation is integrally linked to efforts at eradicating extreme poverty, and ensure sustainable development. The pursuit of ensuring rights and choices affirmed in the ICPD Programme of Action will continue to appear high on the country’s national development agenda. Ethiopia commits to continue engaging in periodic review and reporting mechanisms for the ICPD Programme of Action and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
(1) Intensify our efforts for the full, effective and accelerated implementation and funding of the ICPD Programme of Action, Key Actions for the Further Implementation of the Programme of Action of the ICPD, the outcomes of its reviews, and Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.
