Commitment description:Jordan continues to commit itself to providing quality information, counseling and family planning services based on a human rights approach, especially in remote areas and for vulnerable groups, as reflected in the National Strategy for Sexual and Reproductive Health (2020-2024) and in the cost-effective implementation Plan for Family Planning (2020-2024). Within these frameworks, Jordan commits through the Ministry of Health to the provisioning of family planning and increasing the use of modern family planning methods from 37.4% in 2018 to 43.3% in 2025.
(4) Access for all adolescents and youth, especially girls, to comprehensive and age-responsive information, education and adolescent-friendly comprehensive, quality and timely services to be able to make free and informed decisions and choices about their sexuality and reproductive lives, to adequately protect themselves from unintended pregnancies, all forms of sexual and gender-based violence and harmful practices, sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS, to facilitate a safe transition into adulthood.
