Commitment description:

The share of 65+ plus people in Belarus is over 15% and to 2030 is planned to increase to 21%. The key goal of the national strategy for ageing with dignity is to support and motivate active participation of the 65+ people in the socio-economic life of the country. The commitment will involve development of the relevant infrastructure, social environment, access to education services and address needs for employment; development and implementation of the information and communication strategy for creating positive image of a 60+ person; designing and introducing pre-menopause education strategy for women and prevention programs for men’s health improvement to reduce 10 years difference in life expectancy between men and women.

Among other objectives – improvement of sustainability of pension system, development of the new forms of social services and social support, protection of rights and dignity of elderly people.
