Together for Girls
Commitment description:Commitment to fund and support Together for Girls, a global public-private partnership to end violence against children, particularly sexual violence against girls: BD’s commitment is in the form of my personal time as founder, board chair and member of the Leadership Council, as well as financial support of $600,000 over coming three years (in addition to prior financial support of over $600,000).

Expanding Access to Contraception in the BD Uniject Device
Commitment description:Commitment to empowering women and girls through access to injectable contraceptives in a self-injection format*: development, scaling and accessible supply of the BD Uniject™ device prefilled by pharmaceutical manufacturers with Depo-Provera. [*Self-injection where permitted by national laws and regulation.]

BD Odon Device for assisted vaginal birth
Commitment description:Commitment to helping reduce maternal and newborn mortality: design, development, clinical testing, scaling and broad access to the BD Odon Device™, an innovative new medical device for assisted vaginal delivery of newborns. This is being accomplished collaboratively with multiple foundation, academic, professional society and nonprofit partners.
(3) Zero preventable maternal deaths and maternal morbidities, such as obstetric fistulas, by, inter alia, integrating a comprehensive package of sexual and reproductive health interventions, including access to safe abortion to the full extent of the law, measures for preventing and avoiding unsafe abortions, and for the provision of post-abortion care, into national UHC strategies, policies and programmes, and to protect and ensure all individuals’ right to bodily integrity, autonomy and reproductive rights, and to provide access to essential services in support of these rights.

I pledge to sensitize young people to join the campaign 'end pollution in the oceans and seas', 15-15 days clean our beaches, collecting garbage.
