Youth Vision To Action - Commitments made by youth present at "What’ s Changed? A Conversation on the ICPD@25 Trinidad and Tobago, 27-29th August, 2019"
Commitment description:We commit to ensure the establishment of a Regional Think-Tank to sensitize adolescents on legislations and build their capacity on advocacy and policy development that affects and governs our SRHR access to services.
❖ We commit to creating a centralized regional interactive social media platform that makes SRHR information accessible in a youth friendly manner.
❖ We commit to advocate for the psychosocial support of young people, so as to ensure that we address the prevalence of mental health issues among youth in the Caribbean.
❖ We commit to examine existing Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH) service models to identify best practices in information sharing, services and commodities delivery.
❖ We commit to ensure that ALL Caribbean youth have access to age appropriate information and services required to adequately protect ourselves from unwanted pregnancies, STI’s and HIV and Gender Based Violence (GBV), among other pressing threats.
❖ We commit to utilizing best practices observed to establish ASRH service provision models, including rural/indigenous communities (also in territories where none exist).
❖ We commit to hosting a Regional/National ICPD cultural and arts competition to bring awareness to a wide spread of youths across the Caribbean.
❖ We commit to advocate for governments to improve the integration of quality GBV, SRH and HIV/AIDS care processes/protocols, to ensure that service providers effectively deliver information and services that are youth friendly.
❖ We commit to inclusive societies through the creation of a pilot program that uses mediation, conflict resolution, sensitization and awareness to train young persons in and out of high school to reduce violence and discrimination.

- Programmatic actionA regional advocacy moveme, targeting decision makers and stakeholders to urge governments to remove legal and financial barriers to accessing SRH services for all.
(4) Access for all adolescents and youth, especially girls, to comprehensive and age-responsive information, education and adolescent-friendly comprehensive, quality and timely services to be able to make free and informed decisions and choices about their sexuality and reproductive lives, to adequately protect themselves from unintended pregnancies, all forms of sexual and gender-based violence and harmful practices, sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS, to facilitate a safe transition into adulthood.
