World Vision International EWEC Commitment 2019 - 2030
Commitment description:In the SDG period of 2019 to 2030 World Vision remains firmly committed to the global strategy for maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health and nutrition. World Vision will mobilize $7 billion in cash resources for this cause, of which 30% will be derived from private donors. $2 billion dollars of this allocation will be invested directly in fragile contexts. Some highlights along our journey will include reaching over 15 million children each year with our survive, thrive and transformative services agenda, as well as 5 million adults per year, mostly pregnant women, and women of reproductive age. We will support over 200,000 community health workers, and 2,000 community health committees. We will support the rehabilitation of over 1.5 million children suffering from moderate and acute malnutrition, and 1 million who are underweight. We will continue to scale up social accountability for quality health services in 50 countries. Through our current global campaign to end all forms of violence against children, we are determined to end child marriage in 17 countries in the coming years. And staying true to our faith, we will lead a new generation of faith leaders to be community advocates of sexual and reproductive health, significantly contributing to ensuring access to modern contraceptives for all women.
