Commitment description:

My organisation (CSO), commits to the goal of ensuring that that Sexual reproductive health and rights of our people(community) have the access to the right health facilities and resources by 2021. This will be done through proper engagement with the stakeholders(government and county government) and participation in policy making sessions. My organisation intends to propose a healthy bill to the parliament through a member of parliament representative that seeks to ammend the health bill to include free access to family planning by 2020. This will control the unwanted pregnancies by atleast 40% by 2022. The organisation also seeks to come up with a policy on gender based violence with an intend to have the perpetrators of this vice facing the full force of law by being imprisoned for more than 15 years and above for rape cases. The organization also commits to the overall goal of zero harmful practises in the community including child marriages, female genius motivation, child labour abuse, denying girl child some rights such as right to education. This will be done through proposals to the parliament through women legislators allied to our organisation. The proposals will seek to make it a crime purnishable by last for those what marry off their daughters under 18 years and also those marrying the minors. Another police will seek to make it compulsory to parents to allow their children especially girls attend school up to tertiary colleges. The county goverment will also be compelled to set aside funds in bursaries to educate the needy girls in the society.

    I commit to participate in all county budgetary public participation forums to ensure that atleast 30% of the county budget is channeled to health sector. I will also mobilize my fellow youth to participate in the forums.

  • Policy and guidance
    I commit to come up with health policy that will specifically address sexual reproductive issues in my community. I will lobby for 10% of the health budget to be set aside for family planning course in the community.

(12) Ensuring that the basic humanitarian needs and rights of affected populations, especially that of girls and women, are addressed as critical components of responses to humanitarian and environmental crises, as well as fragile and post-crisis reconstruction contexts, through the provision of access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health information, education and services, including access to safe abortion services to the full extent of the law, and post-abortion care, to significantly reduce maternal mortality and morbidity, sexual and gender-based violence and unplanned pregnancies under these conditions.
