Sexual and reproductive education
Commitment description:Implement constitutional reform that includes sexual and reproductive education in 100 per cent of study programmes and curricula, by following a plan of activities to educate and raise awareness about comprehensive sexuality education that is culturally appropriate and takes a gender and intersectionality perspective, with an emphasis on sexual and reproductive rights, in order to promote their inclusion in the systems for updating and developing teaching skills, in school programmes for parents and guardians, and in training for health care providers, in particular in the states with the highest rates of adolescent pregnancy, by 2024.
(8) Investing in the education, employment opportunities, health, including family planning and sexual and reproductive health services, of adolescents and youth, especially girls, so as to fully harness the promises of the demographic dividend.
