Commitment description:1.- In the current administration of Puebla City Council, it is believed that society is the decision maker, i.e. that people define the use of allocated resources. For that reason, the Programa de Presupuesto Participativo was assigned Mex$ 44 million for 2019; for 2020, the budget for this programme will be increased by 50 per cent. 2.- In the pursuit of a peaceful society, the name of the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública Municipal was changed to the Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana in order to contain a focus on proximity to society. By 2020, the Secretaría de Protección Civil y Gestión Integral de Riesgos will be created. 3.- The Secretaría para la Igualdad Sustantiva de Género was created in 2018 with the aim of ensuring that everyone has the same rights. By 2020, the budget for this secretariat will be increased by 30 per cent in order for it to meet its targets.
