Philips large scale projects to support healthy pregnancies, safe deliveries and newborn care

We believe that we can achieve that through strengthening the ecosystems for 21st century SDG3 partnerships. To support the goals of the ICPD25 Summit, we will continue to build on our partnerships, including with UNFPA, and through strategic initiatives such as the SDG Partnership Platform in Kenya. Together with our partners, we will also mobilize up to USD 100 million of investments for large scale projects focused on high quality, integrated health services in Africa that support healthy pregnancies, safe deliveries and newborn care.

Achieve universal access to sexual and reproductive health as a part of universal health coverage (UHC)(3) Zero preventable maternal deaths and maternal morbidities, such as obstetric fistulas, by, inter alia, integrating a comprehensive package of sexual and reproductive health interventions, including access to safe abortion to the full extent of the law, measures for preventing and avoiding unsafe abortions, and for the provision of post-abortion care, into national UHC strategies, policies and programmes, and to protect and ensure all individuals’ right to bodily integrity, autonomy and reproductive rights, and to provide access to essential services in support of these rights.
