PERSONAL COMMITMENT - IT TAKES ONE PERSON TO INFLUENCE THE MASS
Commitment description:“I Anaseini Ulakai, a youth delegate from Tonga in the Nairobi ICPD25 Summit and Tonga Youth Parliamentarian commit to using national budget processes, increasing domestic financing and exploring new and innovative financing instruments and structures through utilizing financial aid programmes to ensure full, effective and accelerated implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action.
From now until 2030, each year I commit to advocating our governments to allocate adequate financing to ensure full and effective implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action by mobilizing national budgets, increasing domestic financing and exploring new and innovative financing mechanisms. As well as in informing every newly 25 appointed youth parliamentarians each year of the importance of the ICPD PoA and its implementations.
The ultimate goal of my intervention is to increase the number of young aspired politicians and current politicians' knowledge and to trigger a sense of urgency in implementing the ICPD PoA for a more sustainable developed nation and region as a whole.
