Intensify our efforts to implement the ICPD Programme of Action and address remaining gaps through:
Commitment description:1.1. Reduce preventable maternal (MD) and neonatal (ND) deaths by 2030 to less than 20 MD/100,000 live births (57.7 in 2016) and less than 10 ND per 1,000 live births (17 in 2018). By implementing the mandatory declaration of pregnancy and ensuring its follow-up; audited all maternal deaths and identify preventable causes; upgrade providers; standardize care facilities 1.2. End unmet need for family planning information, education and services. By 2030, every polyclinic will integrate IEC and counselling, and offer at least three modern contraceptive methods.; 2.1. Continue supporting the implementation of policies and programmes that take into account gender equality and women's empowerment considerations, with a particular focus on access to employment for women; 2.2. Strengthen the implementation of strategies and programmes to tackle and prevent all forms of violence against women, children, older persons and the vulnerable. 3.1. Continue efforts to finance programmes dedicated to maternal and child health, young people and adolescents, older persons and those in difficulty (recruitment and training, infrastructure, equipment and medication supplies, including contraception; 4.1. Continue to integrate demographic dynamics including migration and considering the ageing of the population in development planning, particularly at the local level, based on accurate and reliable data. 4.2. Take care of the needs of young people by ensuring their economic empowerment, their social participation and their individual development (professional integration and employability through training). 4.3. Set up a national database on population and development, disaggregated at the local level.
