Increase the use of social media to share educational content
Commitment description:Almost 35% of mozambican youth is using social media for fun nowadays, in this context, we commit ourselves on using our personal and organizational profiles to frequently research, produce and share educational content about various topics, mainly related to sexual and reproductive health, with young people. With this action, by 2030, we aim to conscientize young people, share best practices, curiosities, clarify doubts and, through real time interaction, give advice on where to go in case they need further help.
To ensure that we reach as many young people as we can, even those who don't have access to the internet and smartphones, we commit ourselves to establish partnerships with telecommunication companies and use services like bulk messages and other content sharing platforms that use SMS and USSD to share educational content with large groups in all provinces. With these channels, we expect to share one message per month with the most representatives local languages to ensure that, even those who are not literate, have access to information and are able to comprehend with the resources they have available. This commitment will help Mozambique reach the SDG nr 3.
(4) Access for all adolescents and youth, especially girls, to comprehensive and age-responsive information, education and adolescent-friendly comprehensive, quality and timely services to be able to make free and informed decisions and choices about their sexuality and reproductive lives, to adequately protect themselves from unintended pregnancies, all forms of sexual and gender-based violence and harmful practices, sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS, to facilitate a safe transition into adulthood.
