Guarantee access for adolescents and youth to comprehensive and age-responsive information, education and adolescent-friendly comprehensive, quality and timely services
Commitment description:in collaboration with the departments concerned, the Ministry of Health, its partners and civil society, will ensure that: a. All adolescents and young people are guaranteed access to comprehensive, age-appropriate information in all living environments by developing a project in 2024 aimed at developing the psychosocial skills of adolescents and young people b. Adolescents and young people are guaranteed access to comprehensive, quality, timely and age-appropriate services by 2024. c. A national programme targeting 500 health professionals, trainers and peers per year on skills for communicating with adolescents and young people is carried out from 2021. d. SRH services targeting adolescents and young people in more than 30 per cent of health facilities in all regions are introduced by 2030 e. A surveillance system is set up for the most vulnerable adolescent and youth groups to address their SRH needs. f. All adolescents and young people have access to free and anonymous counselling and testing centres, in accordance with the national action plan of the National AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections Control Programme. g. Adolescents and young people have greater access to a fair, quality package of services, as well as information on sexual and reproductive health, in 20 youth-friendly spaces. The Ministry of Education will integrate sexual health education into primary and secondary school curricula and institutions in at least eight pilot regions over the 2019–2020 period.

Achieve universal access to sexual and reproductive health as a part of universal health coverage (UHC)(4) Access for all adolescents and youth, especially girls, to comprehensive and age-responsive information, education and adolescent-friendly comprehensive, quality and timely services to be able to make free and informed decisions and choices about their sexuality and reproductive lives, to adequately protect themselves from unintended pregnancies, all forms of sexual and gender-based violence and harmful practices, sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS, to facilitate a safe transition into adulthood.
