Fight against impunity for violence based on gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and sexual characteristics, and defend the diversity and plurality of our societies.
Commitment description:Fight against impunity for violence based on gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or sexual characteristics, or for human rights violations, with a particular focus on hate crimes, violence against the trans population, sexual orientation “conversion therapy”, and harmful practices that include unnecessary interventions on intersex children, through processes to train and raise awareness among civil servants in the judicial branch, as well as the creation and implementation, by 2022, of public policies with a gender perspective that respect due diligence to ensure effective access to justice, as well as protection, punishment and comprehensive reparation for damage. This commitment includes the eradication of stereotypes and prejudices that deny sexual and gender diversity in all instances in the Plurinational State of Bolivia, in order to ensure due process free of stigma and discrimination. Defend the diversity and plurality of our societies. To do so, we commit to working with the Plurinational Legislative Assembly and the Executive Branch for the recognition and full exercise of the right to form a family and the related rights of the LGBTQI+ population, granting them the same rights given to heterosexual couples by 2022, based on the rights enshrined in the Political Constitution of the State and international instruments.
