Ensuring the active participation of young people in Serbian society
Commitment description:The future of sustainable development is directly linked to fulfilling the aspirations and potential of young people. In 2015 the Government addopted The National Youth Strategy for 2015-2025, comprehensive document aiming to continuously and systematically invest in youth development and to establish a partnership between the youth and the state in order to increase the active participation of young people in society, promote their education and health, create conditions to employment, encourage their social integration and ensure their inclusion in the development of youth policy. Currently, the implementation of its Action plan for 2018-2020 is ongoing. In accordance with The Action Plan of National Youth Strategy, strategic goal 3: Improved active participation of young women and men in the society and expected result 3.2.3, the Government of the Republic of Serbia comits to creating conditions for capacity building and synergy in the work of Youth policy subjects and inclusion of a large number of youth organizations, by
- enabling continuous funding of programs (at least 240 supported activities/projects by 2020) of youth organizations and contributing to the development of the society and the active participation of young people,
- Supporting the active inclusion of young people from vulnerable groups in the work of youth organizations and associations (at least 12 associations supported by 2020)

(8) Investing in the education, employment opportunities, health, including family planning and sexual and reproductive health services, of adolescents and youth, especially girls, so as to fully harness the promises of the demographic dividend.
