Enabling positive environment for Comprehensive Sexuality Education in Georgia
Commitment description:Association HERA-XXI commits to increase knowledge and awareness of young people through continue of integration and development of already existing comprehensive resources for non- formal and formal SRHR education developed according to UNESCO recommendation. Already developed: website and mobile app forteachers.ge ; forparents.ge and online course "All in One Curriculum" as a resource kit for developing a unified curriculum on sexuality, gender, HIV and human rights, intend help them inform healthy life style and age appropriate psychological cultural aspects of the adolescents and create supportive positive environment towards CSE in Georgian society. Online course enable educators to address also social determinants of their health and well-being
Strong Partnership with National Center for Teachers Professional Development under the Ministry of Education Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia , evidence based approach and using modern technologies will be ensured as the main implementation strategies.
Association will continue to address the existing needs and perspectives of CSE in Georgia such as lack of political will and conservative attitudes among decision makers, lack of evaluation and evidence about efficiency of Comprehensive Sexuality Education programs
Association HERA XXI as the leading organization in the field of SRHR , member of IPPF , has strong value in European and global advocacy and will use the international human rights instruments to implement the obligations which Government of Georgia has taken on international human rights standards to " ensure that teachers are effectively trained to provide sexuality education and that youth are involved in the development of such education program"(UN Special Rapporteur under General Comment 22 stands)

(4) Access for all adolescents and youth, especially girls, to comprehensive and age-responsive information, education and adolescent-friendly comprehensive, quality and timely services to be able to make free and informed decisions and choices about their sexuality and reproductive lives, to adequately protect themselves from unintended pregnancies, all forms of sexual and gender-based violence and harmful practices, sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS, to facilitate a safe transition into adulthood.
