Commitment to promote the resolutions of ICPD25
Commitment description:I on behalf of the National Youth Advocacy Platform (NYAP) in Uganda, hereby commit to undertake promotion of the ICPD25 resolutions through mass awareness creation amongst the youth of Uganda but also develop programmatic advocacy actions geared towards engaging government through supporting the elected representatives to generate policies and laws that are responsive to the needs of the youth of Uganda that are in line and are concomitant to the resolutions of ICPD25.
This way, Uganda will be responding towards achieving the SDGs especially SDG 3 on health and others so as to ensure that no one is left behind.
Mode of engagement:
- Programmatic actionWe will be involved in campaigns related to advocacy for proper legislation and domestication of global laws and policies in line with the SDGs for the benefit of the youth in Uganda. We shall ensure we create awareness about the resolutions of ICPD
(1) Intensify our efforts for the full, effective and accelerated implementation and funding of the ICPD Programme of Action, Key Actions for the Further Implementation of the Programme of Action of the ICPD, the outcomes of its reviews, and Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.
